Global Illumination 2012 | Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Michael Fowler Centre global Illumination for Breast Cancer Awareness

This year in April, I became a survivor of this dreaded disease that effects 1 in 9 women every year, stealing lives well before their time. Breast cancer also effects 1 in 100 men and earlier detection is saving lives.

As October is Breast Cancer Awareness month I want to share Global Illumination with you , which is taking place worldwide. Help celebrate by making a donation where ever you are in the world and help save more lives and support the many different services to help breast cancer patients.

Global Illumination

Estée Lauder Companies has arranged to have more than a dozen world-famous landmarks illuminated in pink light to draw attention to the importance of mammography screening for early diagnosis of breast cancer as well as the research for finding ways to cure and prevent breast cancer. you have one new message

You have one new message | a message from God

Looking down from heaven, I wipe away a few wayward stars to get the perfect view of your little corner of the world. From where I am I see the blues, greens and whites of a palette of painted perfection – I see the majesty of the thing I created oh, so long ago.

And yet, within this beauty and wonder I also see great sadness, those who’ve lost their way, those who live within locked doors with pulled curtains.

Brother against brother. Mother against child.

This world you are living in is far from what I hoped it’d be. The swirls upon swirls of beauty, wonder and colors so clear and vivid . . . I wish it were as beautiful there as it is from here.

But I know it isn’t.

I see the pile of newspapers on your doorstep. It hurts too much to read them. The evening news is something you only watch if you must. It’s hard to see the faces on TV and not instantly connect with them, feeling their pain, weeping for the stranger and knotting your stomach with fear and regret.

It breaks My heart that you have to worry about the stranger who smiles at you. No one should have to wonder the reason behind an unfamiliar smile. I weep to think that your children can’t go for a Sunday stroll on the sidewalk on an adventure to anywhere they please. I hope you find comfort in the fact that in safety and danger – I am always there . . . good times and bad. I’ll never leave you or forsake you.

This world is a darkened place . . . and it’s been that way for a long time.

It’s certainly not what I had in mind. The darkness that has enveloped the world is the reason I had to send the Light. It’s the reason I had to send My child and the reason I had to turn away the day He hung on a hill. It’s never easy to give up that which we love.

The sunshine was no longer enough.

The world required a beacon. The world needed a Savior. No one else would do . . . and I loved you that much. That I’d give up My only Son to die that you might live.

That Light now lives with Me in heaven but He’s left His light within you too. Promise Me that when the world is dark, when times are uncertain and the news is about the scariest thing you can imagine, that you won’t spend your life looking for the wolf outside your window. Instead spend your life looking within. Find your light, be the light and don’t ever let it go out.

I’m counting on you to let your light shine. Big or small. . . through the blues, greens and swirls of white . . . I can pinpoint you from way up here with just one little flicker and you’ll never know what just ONE little flicker can do when it burns bright with faith and the realization that behind every little light . . . there is hope.

-GOD

10 selfless ways to pay it forward

10 Selfless Ways to Pay it Forward | Dalai Lama

To pay it forward is to give to another human selflessly, without expecting anything in return. I try to do this often but never often enough. You can really change someones day with a random act of kindness. Even though you are only one person, it only takes one person to make another feel special.

Drink in the feeling and enjoy the fact that you  have the ability to make a difference…… a difference that can change you and the recipient.

Start today, pay it forward and share the love. Choose one of the ten pay it forward options below.

1. Shop at your local charity thrift store.  The money you spend there helps others.

2. Open the door for someone.

3. Pay for the car behind you in the drive through.

4. Help someone to get your parking spot when you are leaving the supermarket.

5. On your birthday ask friends and family to give to your favourite charity and not to you.

6. Be courteous on the road to other drivers and let them into the line of traffic.

7. Bake a cake for your next door neighbor.

8. Clean up the rubbish in your local park.

9. Randomly send a card to a friend letting them know how special they are to you.

10. When someone want to pay you for a job you’ve done for them…. tell them to enjoy a healthy lunch with your compliments.

If you’ve payed it forward lately, I would love to hear your story….. feel free to share with me in the comments below.

try watching this without crying

I can’t believe Christopher Maloney‘s friends told him he wouldn’t make it. To have faith and confidence in yourself means you can also pass it on to others and not deny them of what they truly deserve in life.

This is an amazing story about a brilliant young man from Liverpool in the United Kingdom. Looks like the sky is the limit for him now!!

Click on the video to watch Now…… I’ll get the tissues…. lol
